Resilience to climate change

Preparing for climate change makes good business sense and helps to future proof your organisation and local area. We work with local authorities and their public, private and voluntary sector partners to identify low cost solutions to address the risks and opportunities of climate change. Taking action now will save your organisation considerable costs in the future. We help to:

  • Identify the risks and opportunities of climate change. (See our award winning work at Liverpool City Council.)

  • Engage partners and local communities in adapting to climate change. (We have been working with Sefton Council to support small and medium sized enterprises in climate change proofing their business.)
  • Advise on, and support, the implementation of adaptation actions.

  • Develop adaptation strategies and action plans.

  • Monitor and evaluate climate change action.

We have an excellent understanding of best practice, having supported the Climate Change Best Practice programme and can provide advice on specific issues such as Planning and urban design; Sustainable design and construction; Water management; Flood risk and coastal management; Biodiversity and habitats; Transport and infrastructure; Health and social impacts; Community development.
